New Ocean County, NJ Franchise Sold

Franchise sold to U.S. military veteran and local business owner Jeff McCorry.

Friday Aug 12, 2011

Continuing its rapid U.S. expansion, Weed Man announces an addition to its lawn care franchisenetwork with the purchase of the Ocean County Weed Man location by local business owner Jeff McCorry.

The new opening is part of the 40-year-old lawn care firm’s long-term plan for aggressive growth in the U.S. With many Americans contracting out lawn care services in an effort to free themselves from the burden of regular yard work, Weed Man provides customers a comprehensive and environmentally responsible lawn care service that includes fertilization, weed control and integrated pest management.

“Homeowners are busy and value their free time. They want to enjoy their lawns with their families, not worry about fertilizing and pulling weeds,” said McCorry owner of the Ocean County Weed Man location. “Lawn care is a growing industry and I am confident that local residents will embrace our services, as well as our commitment to customers and the environment.”

For more than four decades, Weed Man has been dedicated to creating greener and healthier lawns. A healthy lawn generates oxygen, removes carbon dioxide, reduces noise and temperatures, filters out ground water pollutants, increases property values, and reduces the vulnerability of homes to infestations and disease carried by insects and rodents. Additionally, implementing a basic service like lawn care can help reduce Ocean County's carbon footprint.

“Our goal is simple: treat each customer’s lawn like our own,” said Roger Mongeon, CEO of Turf Holdings, Inc., which oversees Weed Man’s U.S. operations. “Jeff embodies the Weed Man values and commitment to hard work and quality results. We look forward to his success in the marketplace.”

Weed Man is dedicated to protecting the environment, supporting its franchisees and providing exceptional ongoing service to the customer. Franchisees have assistance every step of the way from experts who have years of experience at the employee, franchisee and corporate levels of Weed Man. The company’s proven “Business Planning Blueprint” provides a step-by-step, day-by-day guide for franchisees and leads to success in the first year.
